Chapter Presidents Update
May/June, 2023
Dear Brothers in Christ,Exciting times are coming to Illinois State Councils. Covid seems to be under control, churches are opening up with in-person masses and sacraments. Council members are finally getting together and planning Council events such as blood drives, coat and food drives and fish fry's, just to mention a few. Just a reminder that we should always wear our KC shirts and solicit potential candidates to be members. Thank you goes out to our State Deputy, Steve Mann, who has completed his term as our leader these past two years. Thank you to our District Deputies who will be retiring in June. We truly appreciate all that you did to keep your Councils alive. Thank you to our Grand Knights, whose terms will end in June. We appreciate all what you did to keep our Order moving forward with Council activities and new members. Congratulations to our newly elected State Deputy, Jeff Peters, and officers. We wish you nothing but success as you lead our State in the upcoming two years. Congratulations to our newly appointed District Deputies. We wish you success as you help your Grand Knights to achieve their goals. Congratulations to our upcoming newly elected Grand Knights. We wish you success as you lead your Councils in the upcoming year. Never forget the principles of our Order – Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism. I will complete my term as the Chicago Archdiocesan Chapter President at the end of June. I have been very fortunate to have had a very qualified board and to have received their support these past three years. I especially would like to thank Fr. Paul Gins, who has been a great spiritual guide to myself and our Chapter. Many great ideas have come forth and I know that the incoming President and Officers are headed in a positive direction for our Chapter. It has truly been an honor and privilege to have served as your Chapter President. I wish you all success as we move Chicago forward. Vivat Jesus. Sincerely, your Brother in Christ, Stan Wiejak Chicago Archdiocesan Chapter President
